Drop off is by appointment. I can store up to 55 boxes to process at a time.  Ask to be added to the list if full and you will be contacted when your name reaches the top.

1. There is a one-time consignor set up fee of $20.

2. If there are items we determine cannot be sold for at least $2 they will be added to our 1$ bins and then donated. 

3. Consignors will receive 50% in store credit or 40% cash payout, unless the item sells for less than $4 then the consignor will receive garage sale prices. (This will be reviewed periodically, if changes are made you will be advised). Payment will be made once a year in December to your Paypal. If your balance is getting high, you may be asked if you would like an earlier payment. You may also use your balance in store at any time. Current items will be added to ebay after the first year and become property of the store after 3 years. Old Edition Curriculum will immediately be added to ebay and become property of the store after 1-2 years depending how outdated it is. These time periods start when they are processed not when they are dropped off.

   1. If there is an attempt made to send your money via your paypal email or via a check sent to the address given and it fails or is sent back I will attempt to contact you 2 times. If I do not get updated information the balance will be absorbed by the store to cover store expenses. My desire is to get you your money. I love sending out consignor payments and blessing homeschool families. Please keep your contact information updated so I do not have to chase after this information. 

4. We take homeschooling items for all grade levels.

   1. Workbooks: We will not be taking any workbooks that are missing pages or have writing in them. Please be diligent to check this before bringing them in, this will be much appreciated by the shopper who won’t find surprises. We do not have time to check every page or to erase writing.

   2. Games or any other item with pieces: Please check that all pieces are accounted for, if there are pieces missing that do not affect the use we can still take it. Please note.

   3. Science Kits: We need a link to the science kit to be able to share with the buyer. We need a list of what should be included. I will need to know exactly which curriculum the kit was for. We will not be accepting science kits that are missing pieces.

   4. Please keep in mind the quality of your item and whether you would want to purchase them in that condition. This will serve you well as the consignor and shopper as well as not waste our time.

5. Materials should be brought in medium size banker boxes with lids(I have many empties currently and we can transfer your books) Clearly label with your name. Your boxes will remain here so please do not bring boxes you wish to take back. Please make sure your box and books are not full of dirt, dust, spiders or mouse poop as I unload these books in our living room to process. Your books will likely be dumped if they come in damaged condition. If I incure a cost to dispose of damaged or dirty books that cost may be applied to your credit.

6. Bringing Books

   1. We are located in Lynden. As it is our home, I will message you the address when you make your appointment.

   2. We can store 55 banker boxes to be processed at a time. After that space is full, we will keep a waitlist and you will be contacted when we are ready for more books. If you no longer wish to bring books or are not available then you may ask to be moved down the list a few names or bumped to the bottom or removed from the list. If you know you will have books soon please ask to be added to the list when your name comes to the top you will be contacted and can request to be deferred for a period if you are not ready. 

7. If the store succeeds you succeed: 

   1. When books are posted to Bright Ideas Facebook Page please share the posts and like the posts and pictures, maybe even comment if you have used and liked a particular item. The more interactions they have the more people will see the posts on facebook. 

   2. Send people to our website. We are especially trying to push people to our website. The more aware people become of the website the faster your books will move. 

   3. Invite a friend to visit the store with you during an open house. 

   4. Hand out business cards to friends and family who are homeschooling or looking for great books and resources. 

   5. Hand out business cards to your homeschool groups.
